Sports Illustrated Head Shot Dan Currie 12-18-1961

Hello and welcome to my site.  I’m happy you’re here and want you to know that I wish for you and your family the very best that life has to offer.  As you can see from my pictures I’ve had a very interesting life full of the absolute highest of highs.  However, as is expected in life, the balance of great times comes with bad times and I have indeed been balanced.  Needless to say, I have enjoyed a blessed life full of some of the greatest moments in Sports history and historic figures.  I was married for many years and am the father of 6 wonderful children, Jane, Tom, Diane, Matt, Julie, and Cathy, who is no longer with us.

As a young boy growing up in Detroit I learned the hard way with the good Sisters at St. Anthony’s teaching with a hard wrap on the knuckles whenever anyone messed up.  I attended Michigan State University on a football scholarship where I was an All American and honored as the Coaches Choice Best Athlete of the year in 1957.  From there, I was again honored by being selected by the Green Bay Packers and coach Vince Lombardi and played there 6 great years, then finished my N.F.L. career with the L.A. Rams.  Now I’m working at the Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in their security department. In my spare time, i enjoy reading, theatrical performances, and of course, sports.  If you’re ever in Vegas, look me up and I’d be happy to meet you.  Until then enjoy my site, consider all my wonderful opportunities and live each day to its fullest.  Thank you.

Go Packers!
